San Biagio, a holiday farm in Sefro, province of Macerata, Marches, Italy

San Biagio

It is located in a tiny mountain village a short distance from Umbria, restructured according to the local architectural style, at an altitude of 700 metres and surrounded by a very interesting natural environment.

They offer accommodation in four different buildings in the village, in one-roomed and two-roomed apartments with kitchen and in independent bedrooms with bathroom, sleeping 20 people in all.

At request, self-managed groups may use a wide common kitchen.

Prices

During low season: double bedroom 40 € and single bedroom (or double room single use) 30 € a day; for periods longer than three days 20% discount. One-roomed apartment 180 € a week. Two-roomed apartment 220 € a week.

During high season: double bedroom 55 € and single bedroom (or double room single use) 35 € a day; for periods longer than three days 15% discount. One-roomed apartment 250 € a week. Two-roomed apartment 300 € a week.

Various excursions are possible, including easy walks in the overlying plateau Montelago, visits to some caves, a path of 4 km on the side of the river Scarsito and some most challenging climbing in canyons, in collaboration with a local caving group.

Many wild animals may be seen while hiking, such as the golden eagle, deers, porcupines, squirrels, wild cats, foxes, badgers and a wide variety of birds.

Nearby, about 3 km, there is a tennis court and a little football ground, and 4 km far, a small lake for sports fishing.

You can arrange guided tours of cultural, anthropological and botanical type for small groups, as well as rides for groups. Mountain bikes are available.

How to reach the San Biagio (wich is in the hamlet named Sorti)

For those taking the A14 motorway coming from the north, exit at Ancona Nord, take the road to Jesi-Rome, then going out for Matelica, Castelraimondo, Pioraco, Sefro, Sorti.

For those taking the A14 motorway from the south, exit at Civitanova Marche, take the road to Foligno, then going out for Camerino, Castelraimondo, Pioraco, Sefro, Sorti.

For those taking in Umbria the main road number 3 Flaminia, arrived in Foligno, move towards Macerata through the plateau of Colfiorito, turning in the direction Montelago - Sorti when arrived in Serravalle di Chienti.
Otherwise, arrived in Nocera Umbra, proceed towards Macerata, turning in Pioraco towards Sefro and Sorti.
