Calbertone

It's in the open country, among high and woody hills, on the border between Umbria and the Marches, in an intact natural environment. Calbertone is an old rural house dating back to the fourteenth century. It had been restored trying to preserve its original characteristics, as much as possible. The surrounding area is especially suitable for trekking, mountain biking, wild bird and animal watching, as well as mushrooms and truffles searching. Organized trips on horseback are possible. |

In the house there are 3 independent apartments, each one with its own outer space with garden furniture. The swimming pool and the barbeque area are in common use. The first apartment has two bedrooms, each one with its bathroom, a large kitchen and a sitting room with an old fireplace. In the second one there are a hall with kitchen and two double bedrooms with its bathrooms. One of them is very large. The third apartment has sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and double bedroom. There's also a sofa bed, so it may sleep till three. Prices are a person a day, and start from 25 euros till 35 euros, depending on the apartment. Linen and towels are included. If the stay is less than a week, you have to pay 50 euros for the final cleaning. Pets with crate are generally welcome. |

Calbertone is in the municipality of Mercatello sul Metauro, but the nearest town (about 3 kilometres) is the ancient and active Sant'Angelo in Vado, which is 25 kilometres from Urbino. A barbecue with wood-burning oven and a swimming pool with salt water are at the guests' disposal. |
